Hello :o) I'm Kirsty... in my late teens, I worked as a stable hand in NZ. This is where my love of thoroughbreds was born.

I have had 5 horses in my life, either leased or owned and all TBs (4 OTT) including my two current horses Louie (Kahlua Gold) and Evy (Princes Ginachenka). While they have very different personalities, what they have in comman, is the love they have for having a purpose, and a job to do. Thoroughbreds are such trainable, intelligent, willing, honest and competitive horses. A joy to work with. Its my dream to work with them for the rest of my life.

I am currently studying my certificate 3 in horse industry practise, and am looking into doing equine vet nursing next... I also run my own business doing wedding hair. My hubby, our two young sons, my two horses and our dog make up our happy little family.

Everything I do, I am passionate about. Jess and I both believe strongly in the importance of retraining Racehorses when they retire from their racing careers, it is this education that gives them a real shot at a great future. We have big dreams for the future of Racehorse Rehab. We believe that positive changes are happening already and we are very driven to be a part of that positive change.

Hi guys, Jess here. I live and breathe horses, i couldn't live a life without them. I have a particular admiration for the thoroughbred; athletic, intelligent and trainable. My love for horses was how i met my partner, who is from a racing background with parents that train. This was how I found myself in the industry and have never looked back!! I am so passionate about racing and hope to be a part of it for the rest of my life, with aspirations to one day become a part of the racing board and be involved in stewarding. For now, i am spending my time as a strapper, learning as much as i possibly can. The welfare of this animal is important to me and i pride myself on my horse handling abilities and understanding the fantastic breed of horse. I hope Racehorse Rehab can help change the negative stigma that can be associated with horses off the track and encourage people to consider taking one on. They are very rewarding animals to work with! I have my own thoroughbred Syd, who i have owned and evented on for close to 10 years now. I am also currently retraining Ex-Racehorse 'Seventh Heart'.
